A morning that goes with everything.
Mediterranean breakfast, small mezze to share and a wall full of favourite wines. Gabi's café and wine bar, right in Marbach's old town.
● Open Wed–Sun
„Ich liebe Oliven. Oliven passen zu allem."
Gabi Scherzer, owner
At Olive the day starts slowly: good coffee, a croissant at the bright window table and a view onto the market street. A place to stay, not to rush through.
Breakfast worth remembering
Freshly filled croissants, generous boards to share and fruit in a jar. On weekends it turns into a long, unhurried brunch.
- Salmon croissant on rocket
- Brunch board to share
- Muesli & fruit in a jar
Small plates, made for sharing
Mediterranean with a Levantine touch: kısır, grilled halloumi, baked goat cheese, antipasti with olives. Order a few plates and pass them around.
- Kısır with grilled halloumi
- Baked goat cheese on market salad
- Antipasti board with olives
End on something green
Pistachio tiramisù in a jar, with berries and mint. The nicest reason to stay for one more espresso.

A wall full of favourite bottles
A curated selection from the region, from Italy and Spain, lined up in old wooden crates. Drink it here at the barrel table or take it home. Plus Aperol, alcohol-free too.
Café in the morning, wine bar afterGabi's place, found at last
Gabi Scherzer is a trained hotel specialist and searched a long time for the right spot. The moment she walked into the rooms at Marktstraße 13, she knew: this is it.
The former Marktdreizehn became Olive. The name needed no thinking. She loves olives, and olives go with everything: with wine, with bread, with a long morning.
With heart and soul. Yours, Gabi.

Old town, market street, window seat
Olive sits in the heart of Marbach's listed half-timbered old town, on the market street. There is a farmers' market next door on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From Stuttgart it is under half an hour by S4 train, then a short walk from the station past Schiller's birthplace.
